It is great that more articles are being written about depression and anxiety during pregnancy, but it remains an uphill struggle for women on antidepressants who become pregnant. My ob is pushing me to go off mine (I have OCD and GAD–both diagnosed after the birth of my 3-year-old) in the last trimester, which I feel would be the worst possible thing for me to do. I am hoping between me and my psychiatrist we can avoid such drastic measures, but it is a shame I am even having to rely on the “expert” word of my shrink to get my ob to understand just how serious my condition is (and how much worse it would be without my meds).
