When we here at Postpartum Progress share with you the words of Warrior mamas who have been through it – and now offer hope, camaraderie, and so much more to those who are still fighting, have fought, or will fight.
This year’s rally is a bit different than previous years, however.
The rally this year focuses on essays written by survivors and will not span a full 24 hours. Why?
We want you to focus on taking care of yourself today, mama. To remember to mother the most important person in your life – YOU. You can bookmark the posts you find interesting and come back to them when you have a chance – or you can read them in the time you have available to you today.
Know that we wish ALL mothers the day they desire today. We are holding each and every one of you in our hearts as the day moves forward.
Our first post of the rally will go up at 8:00am ET. We hope to see you there.
With lots of love,
Postpartum Progress’ Warrior Mom Leadership Team
The 7th Annual Mother’s Day Rally for Moms’ Mental Health is presented by Postpartum Progress, a national nonprofit 501c3 that raises awareness & advocates for more and better services for women who have postpartum depression and all other mental illnesses related to pregnancy and childbirth. Please consider making a donation today, on Mother’s Day, to help us continue to spread the word and support the mental health of new mothers.
I am a little late for the rally, however I think that this a very important topic. In order for mothers to take care of their children, they need to take care of themselves. Check out our website: http://www.thehouseofawareness.com for mental health awareness jewelry.
