top mom blogYesterday afternoon I got some shocking news.  I saw that Babble had come out with its list of Top 100 Mom Bloggers of 2011.  I was hoping I’d be on it of course, as are many striving mom bloggers, all of whom are awesome even if they aren’t on it.  Number 98, maybe?

I opened the link, and saw my face.  Next to the Pioneer Woman.  And Dooce.  Number 6.

Whisky Tango Foxtrot?!

I’m not sure why we are in that spot, friends.  It feels like somebody over there at Babble is as bad at math as I am and made some drastic calculation error.  But I will say this: I hope and pray it means more struggling moms will find out that Postpartum Progress exists and is populated by people like you who understand and are supportive and who surely make a difference in the lives of mothers.

Most moms with antenatal and postpartum depression and anxiety never even know what is wrong with them.  They never know it’s okay, and there is help.  Instead they decide to accept the belief they must be bad mothers and terrible people.  We do everything we can here to change that, with your help.  So keep up the good work.  Keep fighting, Warrior Moms. Keep kicking PPD’s ass.
