Above, you will see that Postpartum Progress has a brand-spanking new image! I’ve been wanting to create something that would symbolize what this blog is all about, and here it is — our new logo!! I chose this design because:
- the mother and child suggest that, collectively postpartum mood disorders are a disease of parenthood
- the raised arms of the mother and child show that we can survive the devastation that is a postpartum mood disorder, and truly thrive as mothers
- the rays of sunshine in the background symbolize hope
I really hope you like it!! Please let me know what you think!
I love it! It communicates empowerment, the ability to overcome obstacles. And as you note, it gives weight to how PPD is a baby's issue as well as a mom's.
Keep up the good work!
Love it! Love it! Love it! Let me know when you have the badge available and I would love to add it to the blog and website!
Congratulations!

damn you're good. i love it!
It's fabulous and gives a strong sense of empowerment which is what overcoming and also preventing PPD is all about. I love your use of mother and child since this horrible disorder devastates the children (and families) just like it does the mother.
You're awesome, Katherine!!
Best,
Kristin
Looks terrific. Gives a sense of control, recovery…a light at the end of some very dark tunnels. Thanks for all you do for moms!
Katherine, it's really really perfect. Once again, you should be proud. 🙂
Warmly,
Karen Kleiman
It's beautiful!
Best,
Ruta.
