Two weeks down, one to go of the 21 day self-care challenge!
Remember that slogan, “have you hugged your kids today?” We swear by the critical need to provide loving touch to children. But what about us? We rock, tote, bathe, diaper, and hug children. You’re on touch overload. You just want to be left alone, NOT TOUCHED ONE MORE TIME! Even if you remember it feels good.
Time for hugs for you. Today, your job is to get three good, warm, lasting hugs. Banish that notion in your head that hugs are no good if you have to ask for them—and ask away. You know the good and willing huggers—your partner, your friend, your neighbor. Sidle up and be direct: I need a hug. Lean in and enjoy!
Today’s mantra: “Hugs are good medicine—and it’s okay to ask.”
