Really identified with the 5 Thinking Patterns post. All five are things I have worked on in therapy – things that took me a while to figure out. Now that I know they are thought patterns (and not some fault with me/my parenting), I can distance myself from them and choose how much I want to listen to them.
In each case, the false thought patterns were the truths I lived (and suffered) by when my PPD was at its worst.
Thanks for the link! (And thanks again for the thoughtful discussion that your post inspired–I'm still impressed with the way that the conversation unfolded.)
Looking forward to reading through the rest!
