I have a request for those who are the more spiritual among us: please pray for the safe return of Katie Corcoran of Rhode Island. Katie, mother of two boys, has been missing since September 5th. As I understand it (and I may not have all of the details exactly correct), Katie was suffering from postpartum psychosis and was released from the hospital to a cab instead of to her husband. The cab took her to a local shelter, but she never went inside and hasn’t been heard from in almost a month. Of course this is terribly concerning. She is suffering from a very serious mental illness and most likely has no access to medicine or treatment. We need to send out a collective prayer that she comes to no harm and is found and returned to her family safely. But for the grace of God, every single one of us could be in exactly her position.

Katherine – Thanks for posting this. I will keep her in my prayers and am going right now to post the information at my blog as well.
Katherine, Thank you so much for making everyone aware of Katie. I live in RI and as a PPD survivor it is really hard to hear about this. She should of never been released to a cab she should of been directly released to her husband. It is so upsetting especially living in the state that it happen in. I am praying for her and her family. However I don't know if you know there is more I can do living local. I see signs of her missing but is the family doing a active search that they can used volunteers for? I haven't found that information in RI (Newspapers or media). Thanks so much for all your work I have corresponded with you before about the dayhospital program in RI!
I feel just sick over this. I promise to be laboring in prayer.
Katie was found over the weekend in Baltimore, and is now home safe with her family. She can now receive the treatment she needs.
Please know that Katie was located on Veteran's Day weekend, safe in Maryland. Thank God for the alert shopkeeper who helped to reunite her with her family.
