My calendar is starting to fill up with postpartum depression speaking engagements and conferences for 2013 and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to meet as many of you in person as possible.
First up! In Los Angeles on January 24th I’ll be speaking at the “Emerging Considerations in Maternal Mental Health” conference. The event is co-hosted by the California Maternal Mental Health Collaborative and ACOG.
Discussions at this conference will include the power of hospitals in postpartum depression prevention and group social support, the concept of the insurer company-conducted postpartum depression screening, public awareness campaigns, and the use of technology, including text support to treat maternal depression. Speakers include myself, Dr. Laura Miller, Birdie Meyer and more.
The registration cost is just $69.99 and includes a networking luncheon. Scholarships are available. For more information and to register, click here:

I hope to see you in LA in January!!
Katherine, we can’t wait to hear what you think about marketing to the public and how that might differ from reaching moms who may already be experiencing symptoms.
Warrior Moms and followers may also enjoy hearing from Dr. Harvey Karp, best selling author of the Happiest Baby on the Block.
Jan. 24 is going to be a great day!
