There are SO many things I have to tell you with regard to my WONDERFUL experience attending the BlogHer 10 conference in NYC for the past several days. BlogHer 10 was a conference for women who blog, and it was attended by 2400 amazing women, several of whom have survived perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. We were able to gather a few of them for a photo (coming soon) and a special video message (coming right now) to YOU, the mamas out there who are suffering at this very minute.
The video features Morgan from The 818, Casey from Moosh in Indy, Morra from Women And Work, Ivy from Ivy’s PPD blog, Suzanne from Pretty Swell, Allison from O My Family, Beth Anne from Heir to Blair, Aliza from too many places to name, Alexis from depressionsandconfessions and Emily from Aprons and Heels. Even more Warrior Moms wanted to come, but as you can probably tell from the background noise it was a total madhouse there with a million things going on at once.
Anyway, to see all these wonderful, accomplished, different, beautiful mothers who have been in the same despair you may find yourself in now standing together, triumphant, was awesome.
LOVED meeting you all! Love this video. Can't thank you enough, Katherine, for getting us all together!
Thanks for the inspiring message ladies. Gives me hope that I will be WELL one day!
Katherine, it was inspiring to be there. I'm still reeling from the empowerment of being with so many survivors and feeling the energy of enjoying life again!
Ann, you WILL be well one day. Please know that. YOU WILL!
Such an honor to be there!
Aw, I am just seeing this today for the first time–I missed the whole BlogHer'10 hullabaloo because I was moving my family from FL to PA–but wow–so great to see you all together. It brought tears to my eyes! Wish I could have been there with all of you lovely ladies!
