So I've been working on my new FAQs (frequently asked questions) page a little bit. Would you, dear readers, mind taking a look at it and making suggestions? What questions am I missing?
Sometimes I get too close to things and need a different perspective. Thanks!
I would also like to get your input on what kinds of videos you'd like me to put here. I've created a Postpartum Progress YouTube channel, which will have the One Thing videos on it. (And YES, I know a few of you have sent me one and I promise I'm working on getting them up here.) So what would be good topics for me to do little videos on?
Thanks ladies! (and gents, if you're out there)
I can't think of a thing to add to the faq. I think it's great. I'm a long time reader, and I just clicked open 4 pages from it. Well done! Also subscribed to the youtube channel – I'll let you know if I think of anything needed.
oh – one thing maybe for the faq. Maybe something which mentions the shame of having ppd, or taking anti depressants. I know I didn't tell anyone about my ppd, apart from my husband and one friend, for a good 6 months. many people still don't know. So maybe that might be a good thing to add to the faq?
I think there should be a blurb of some kind stating that "You need not have ALL the symptoms to be diagnosed". Some people shun the idea, or look for a loophole, because they're ashamed they even thought they could have PPD. We need to be reassured that it's okay to have it, okay to seek treatment and we may only have a handful of symptoms on the list!
Got it!
Great. Glad to hear it's working! I'll think about how to add info about stigma and medication. Thanks for your input!
Looks good, Katherine! Any question I thought I might ask was already there. As for videos, maybe a series of "emergency" videos for when Moms are feeling super low or needing an extra boost on a particularly low day. Just a thought.
