Dontcha know that seeing the title of this little piece of research would set my heart to racing!
"A preliminary investigation of the impact of maternal obsessive-compulsive disorder and panic disorder on parenting and children"
The research isn't on postpartum OCD or postpartum panic. And what it found is that they need to do more research.
This means I can stop hand-wringing, pacing and self-flagellating for now. 😉
this is scary. thanks for sharing it.
I can so relate to the hand wringing and self-flagellation comments. I must frequently remind myself, especially as we work through therapy and investigations into my daughter's developmental delays, that I did not choose to be ill, and that whatever part my illness may have played in her current condition, I took what steps I could to get help and continue to do my best to love and care for my children.
I recently came across this article and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Really a nice post here!
