Carol’s Park

Carol Blocker is trying to get a small, neglected playlot in the Hyde Park area of Chicago renovated and named after her daughter, Melanie Blocker Stokes, who as you may recall killed herself while going through a terrible bout of postpartum psychosis. She has met with Alderman Leslie Hairston, who has agreed to look into the issue. I’ll keep you posted on the progress.
