This is a great piece from the New York Times about how it can sometimes take a while to find the right treatment combination for people with mental illness, and how sometimes healthcare providers place blame on the patients when their health doesn’t improve. Thanks for the heads up on this from Psych Central.
This is a great reminder that you have to SPEAK UP if things aren’t working. Yes, one has to be patient to allow medication and therapy to have an effect, but it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be loud and clear about how you’re feeling and whether you’re improving.
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
